Segantini e la Brianza

The book “Segantini e la Brianza” (by A. Tiddia) was published by the Galleria Civica G. Segantini in Arco (a collaboration among the Municipality of Arco, MAG and MART) as a result of the study and in-depth analysis after the acquisition of the painting “La pompeiana” by Giovanni Segantini (1888/1890, pastel watercolour tempera on cardboard, cm. 41×24) by the Municipality of Arco.

The project also gave rise to an exhibition, hosted in the gallery from 18 June 2021 to 15 January 2022.
It contains essays (only Italian language) by Alessandra Tiddia (Segantini e la Brianza ad Arco; Album Brianza 1884. Il colore come fonte espressiva dei sentimenti) by Annie Paule Quinsac (La Brianza di Segantini), by Isabella Collavizza (Il periodo brianzolo.Segantini, da Brera alle esposizioni internazionali), by Annalisa Bonetti (Segantini outdoor. Un tour dedicato a Segantini nel centro storico di Arco). The volume also includes colour images of the works involved in the study and exhibition, the gallery set-up and documents to accompany the texts.
